What is a Championship?

A championship is our form of a ladder tournament. The championship challenge system operates like professional boxing, where teams can only challenge teams higher than them in the rankings. If the challenge is accepted and the challenging team wins the match, they will take the rank of the defending team. However, if the challenge is accepted and either the defending team wins or the match results in a draw, the defending team will keep their position. Should the challenge not be accepted, the defending team will forfeit.

How long do Championships last?

Championships are ongoing and do not have a set end date. A championship can continue indefinitely with new teams able to join at any time.

Where do new teams start in the rankings?

New teams will start at the bottom of the rankings, as 'unranked'. This means that they will be able to challenge any other 'unranked' team or a team above them in the rankings within a range defined by the organiser.

How do I join a Championship as a player?

To join a championship as a player, you must click the "Join competiton" button in the player control panel. Once you have selected the competition, you will become a Free Agent and will be able to be invited to teams. You can also create your own team and invite other players to join you.

To join a championship as a team, you must first create a team. Once you have created a team, you can join a championship by going to the championship settings and clicking the "Join Championship" button. Your team will be added to the championship and will be able to challenge other teams.

How do I challenge another team?

To challenge another team, you must go to the Team Leader control panel and click "Competition Settings" and then click the "Challenge" button. You will then be prompted to select a date and time for the match. Once you have selected a date and time, the challenge will be sent to the defending team. If the challenge is accepted, the match will be scheduled and the match details will be sent to both teams. If the challenge is not accepted, the defending team will forfeit.

How do I accept a challenge?

When your team is challenged, as a Team Leader, you will recieve a notification in the match channel that is created specifically for your challenge. You will be able to accept or decline the challenge from this channel. If you accept the challenge, the match will be scheduled and the match details will made public. If you decline the challenge, your team will forfeit.
